The Guadalupe family discusses family dynamics in the context of the Navy presence in Vieques and the struggle for demilitarization of the island. They talk about life in Vieques in the 1960s and 70s and compare the struggle of these times with the last episode of the struggle in the 2000s. Norma describes her participation in a civil disobedience act organized by women and how these women were treated in court after being arrested. Ismael and Norma discuss how the Navy tried to claim a space in the Vieques school system during the 1970s.
